Full house at the Experienced Barristers Lunch

12/02/2020

Collegiality

There was laughter, reflection and reminiscing today as more than 80 guests enjoyed the second Experienced Barristers Lunch, held in the Union, Universities and Sports Club. Certificates marking 50 years in practice were presented to Peter Hennessy SC and Robert Stitt QC, before the guest of honour, Murray Gleeson AC QC, spoke about the best qualities of an independent bar and work for barristers (and retired judges) overseas. A full review will be published in a forthcoming edition of Bar News: the journal of the New South Wales Bar Association.

The Experienced Barristers Program is an initiative of the Wellbeing Committee, in consultation with the Diversity and Equality Committee. Regular lunches will be held on the second Wednesday of every second month. For more information contact wellbeing@nswbar.asn.au
