BAQ and ABA join forces for 2020 Conference for the whole profession

In 2020 the Bar Association of Queensland joins with the Australian Bar Association to host its annual conference in Brisbane. From the Welcome event on Thursday 5 March through to its conclusion on Saturday 7 March, the conference will bring together legal professionals from across Australia in a two-day intensive program.

Conference Welcome: the renowned Australian and human rights campaigner, Ben Quilty. Mr Quilty will discusses his experiences as a war artist in Afghanistan and his reflections on society and the law.

Conference Dinner: Dr Munjed Al Muderis, Associate Professor Orthopaedic Surgeon, author and human rights activist. Dr Munjed Al Muderis has done pioneering work on prosthetics, especially on titanium devices. Al Muderis was born in Iraq and became a surgeon under the regime of Saddam Hussein will address the Conference Dinner.
