The NSW Chapter of the Australian Association of Constitutional Law is presenting an event on 3 March entitled “Love and Thoms v Commonwealth [2020] HCA 3: The Constitution and Indigenous Australians”.

The Governor of New South Wales, Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC QC, formerly the President of the NSW Court of Appeal, will present an address on the constitutional issues arising out of the High Court’s significant decision in Love v Commonwealth; Thoms v Commonwealth [2020] HCA 3, handed down on 11 February 2020. The audience will also receive the considerable benefit of a commentary by Peter Gerangelos, Professor of Constitutional Law at the University of Sydney, who will provide his insights into the case.
