Privacy, Data and Surveillance

Continuing Professional Development - Monday 16 March

Join the Innovation & Technology Committee on Monday 16 March for the second instalment of its series of CPDs on artificial intelligence.

Technologies such as artificial intelligence are bringing unprecedented challenges to information privacy. We give away personal data on a daily basis, often unwittingly, using Facebook and smart appliances, clicking through on websites, agreeing to geolocation, providing information that finds its way to large databases which can be mined for many uses. Anonymity is dying, surveillance is the norm. What do you need to know about privacy in the context of AI?

Anna Johnston, one of Australia’s most respected experts in privacy law and practice, will lead the discussion. Beth Oliak, Fredrick Jordan Chambers, will chair.

Registration is not required.
