Members views sought on operation of the 2017 Motor Accidents scheme

The common law committee is in regular communication with the State Insurance Regulatory Authority concerning the operation of the Motor Accident Injuries Act 2017. This provides an opportunity for us to raise concerns we have with the operation of the scheme generally. It is helpful in doing so if concrete, anonymised examples of the identified problem can be provided to SIRA. Members are invited to provide examples of any issue to the committee for consideration as to whether it should be raised with SIRA to the Association’s Director Policy and Public Affairs Elizabeth Pearson at epearson@nswbar.asn.au
