NSW Bar's first mixed netball team commences season 2020

Yesterday, the "Full Court Bench" commenced the Autumn 2020 season playing against Jones Baes (from Jones Day). Despite a valiant effort from our team, the game ended in favour of Jones Baes with a score of 17-9.

Our defence took every opportunity to intercept the ball when in Jones Baes’s goal third; with our GK and GD often recovering possession from the well organised GS and GA of their team. When the ball was conveyed to our goal third, our GA and GS kept control within the goal circle. Our GA did not miss a shot and effortlessly scored for our team time and time again. Our C, WD and WA were swift in their movements across the central areas of the court despite the other team’s agility.

With a number of players not having played netball in many years, yesterday’s game was a great way to clear the cobwebs and work on our team’s strategy for the next game.
