The President of the New South Wales Bar Association has today issued a media release stating that the New South Wales Bar Association is celebrating International Women’s Day 2020 with a virtual photo wall on Twitter of barristers showing their support for equal opportunity by making the = sign with their arms, and calling on others to do the same.

The global theme for International Women’s Day on Sunday 8 March is “Each for Equal”. New South Wales Bar Association President, Tim Game SC, said this year’s theme was a powerful reminder that every person has an important role to play in promoting equality in the legal profession and community.

“A diverse Bar better reflects the community we serve and promotes public confidence in the administration of justice,” Mr Game said.
