Bar Association Office Bearers for 2025

Following Ruth Higgins SC’s decision to step down as President, the Bar Council met this evening and elected Dominic Toomey SC as President. The office bearers of the Bar Association are now:

President: Dominic Toomey SC

Senior Vice-President: Michael Izzo SC

Junior Vice-President: Vanessa Whittaker SC

Treasurer: Catherine Gleeson SC

Secretary: Rose Khalilizadeh

Ruth Higgins SC has also resigned from the Bar Council and, in accordance with the Bar Association’s Constitution, Hilbert Chiu SC has filled the vacant position.
