National Reconciliation Week, 27 May–3 June 2025

27/05/2025

National Reconciliation Week takes place every year from 27 May to 3 June. These dates remain the same every year to commemorate two significant milestones in the reconciliation journey— the successful 1967 referendum and the High Court Mabo decision respectively.

National Reconciliation Week is a time for all Australians to learn about our shared histories, cultures, and achievements, and to explore how each of us can contribute to achieving reconciliation in Australia. The theme for National Reconciliation Week in 2025 is ‘Bridging Now to Next’. In this time of uncertainty, it calls on all of us to commit to walking together in the present, guided by the lessons of the past, and inspired by the hopes of a future of unity and reconciliation.
