Pathways to Justice for Survivors of Institutional Abuse Conference

The conference is timed to mark the tenth anniversary of the Redress and Civil Litigation Report (2015) of the Australian Royal Commission Into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse. It considers the decade of significant developments in institutional abuse law in Australia since, and subsequent inquiries and developments in other common law jurisdictions, including the UK and New Zealand.

Over the 2 days there will be 20 sessions involving over 48 leading experts including survivor advocates and support services, inquiry commissioners, judges, prominent practitioners and academics on developments and emerging issues.

The conference will be held at the Aerial Function Centre, UTS (Level 7, Building 10, cnr Jones and Thomas Streets, Ultimo, Sydney) on Friday 19 September and Saturday 20 September 2025 (8:30am-5:00pm each day) with a reception on Friday 19 September (5:00pm-7:00pm)
