Third Bar Bushwalk for 2025: Upper Grose Valley - Mount Victoria

17/07/2025

The third Bar Bushwalk of 2025 will be on Saturday, 26 July 2025 in the Upper Grose Valley. The route follows the Victoria Falls walking track from Mount Victoria, down into and along the valley, and then up to Walls Lookout on the Bell’s Line of Road. The Silver Cascades and Victoria Falls are a highlight. The trail is reasonably hard, so good fitness is a must.

The walk will start at the end of the Victoria Falls Road, a good quality dirt road. The turnoff coming from Sydney is off the Great Western Highway, just before Mount Victoria village. The walk will take approximately 6 hours.

Meet at 8.45am for a 9.00am start at the car park at the end of Victoria Falls Road, known as the Grose Valley Lookout. If anyone needs a lift from Sydney, Katoomba or Mount Victoria, please let the organisers know.

As always, please have 1 or 2 litres of water, a solid lunch, wet weather gear (if there is a prospect of rain), a hat and good walking shoes.

Car shuffling is needed and will be arranged, so if you would like to come on the walk please register by sending an email to David Pritchard at pritchard@3sjh.com.au by no later than Thursday 24 July 2025. Any queries, please call Leah Reid on 0403068701 or David Pritchard on 0401753848.
