Vale: Harvey Leslie Cooper AM (1932–2025)

Harvey Cooper passed away on Saturday 2 August 2025 at the age of 93. Mr Cooper was called to the Bar in 1954 and was appointed as a judge of the District Court of New South Wales in 1978, where he served until 2004. He was made a Member of the Order of Australia in 2005 for services to the judiciary and the community. In subsequent years he continued to serve as an acting judge on both the District and the Supreme Courts of New South Wales, before being appointed as Inspector of the Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) in 2008 for a five-year term. He stepped down from that position in September 2013, at the age of 81.

The funeral will take place at 11am on Wednesday 6 August 2025 at the Ohel Chaim Chapel at Macquarie Park Cemetery. It will be livestreamed here.
