Bar FC narrowly defeated by Freehills 2-1

Wellbeing

Today was always going to be tough as Bar FC took on a young Freehills side who lead the division with a goal difference of eight after five games. The backline of Boyle, Philips and Griscti worked tirelessly to thwart the raids made into Bar FC's defensive half.

Game was given the job of man marking Freehills playmaker and did so brilliantly. As a result, Bar FC went into the break dominating the last five minutes and with the scores level at 0-0.

The midfield came out firing with excellent lead up play by Jaegar resulting in a pinpoint cross that was finished brilliantly by Morrison who has returned to the fold. With the momentum behind them, Bar FC pushed for a further goal however the younger Freehills (not a partner in sight) pushed hard to equalise, did so and scored again in the dying minutes of the game.

Hard to pick a player of the match given the contribution made by all.

Next week's game is on Wednesday, 31 May at 1.15 above the Domain Car Park. All supporters of Bar FC are welcome.
