Mediation Advocacy - Ethics & Skills Presented by David Ash. Chaired by Ian Davidson SC.

On Wednesday, 28 June 2017 there will be a CPD seminar dealing with three advocacy issues in the context of mediation. First, advocate's immunity. Secondly, ethics (with reference to the Bar Rules and the Civil Procedure Act). Thirdly, the advocate's role in numerous aspects including choosing a mediator, pre-mediation conferences with the client, preparing a position paper, making an opening, advising the client during mediation, and preparing for settlement.
