A funeral service for his Honour Judge Robert Toner SC will be held on Saturday, 10 February 2018 at 12 noon in Balmain Town Hall, 370 Darling Street, Balmain.

Judge Robert Toner SC passed away on Saturday morning. In response to the news, President Arthur Moses SC said: "Prior to his appointment to the District Court on 16 April 2007, Bob was one of the NSW Bar’s leading criminal trial advocates. Bob passionately believed that all members of the community facing criminal charges were entitled to proper legal representation and a fair trial. He contributed tirelessly to the work of the Bar, through his many years of service on Bar Council including as Secretary and Treasurer. Bob’s compassion, sense of fairness and wisdom will be missed."
