ALRC inquiry findings back calls for a new Indigenous court in NSW

The Australian Law Reform Commission’s report Pathways to Justice— An Inquiry into the Incarceration Rate of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples was released today. President Arthur Moses SC has welcomed the report, describing it as "a comprehensive blueprint for urgent action to address the shameful over-representation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in our prisons". He called for "swift and decisive action" from the Commonwealth, state and territory governments to ensure its recommendations are implemented. View the Bar Association's media release here.
