NSW Home Building Compensation Fund

The NSW Self Insurance Corporation (Home Warranty Insurance Fund) has been renamed The Home Building Compensation Fund (HBCF), under changes made to the Home Building Act 1989, which took effect on 15 January 2015. The Home Warranty Insurance Fund was the sole Government underwriter of home warranty insurance in NSW since 1 July 2010. In addition, a register of all certificates which the fund has issued has gone live. The HBCF Certificate Register can be accessed by visiting http://www.hbcf.nsw.gov.au.
