Federal Government releases second consultation draft of religious discrimination legislation

The Federal Government yesterday released a second exposure draft of its religious discrimination legislation https://www.ag.gov.au/Consultations/Pages/religious-freedom-bills-second-exposure-drafts.aspx. Submissions on the draft Bills close on 31 January 2020. See the Joint media release from the Prime Minister and Federal Attorney-General here.

The Shadow Attorney-General has indicated (attached here) that the Federal Opposition will be consulting widely with the Australian community regarding the proposed legislation.
