Diversity

Today is Bisexual Visibility Day, also known as Celebrate Bisexuality Day, celebrated annually on 23 September.

Bisexual Visibility Day is an annual event to recognise and celebrate bisexual people, and to increase inclusion of bisexual people. A bisexual (commonly shortened to the adjective, ‘bi’) person is romantically and/or sexually attracted to people of their own gender and other genders. Bi+ is an umbrella term that refers to people who are attracted to more than one gender.

The Bar Association is committed to supporting and celebrating its diverse Bar which strives to reflect a full composition of Australia’s society. For further information and resources, see the Association’s Supporting LGBTQI Inclusivity webpage.
