Federal Government Meet & Greet networking event

The NSW Bar Association Practice Development Committee would like to invite barristers to attend a Federal Government Meet & Greet networking event with briefing solicitors from the litigation teams of:

• the Australian Competition & Consumer Commission;

• the Australian Federal Police;

• the Australian Securities and Investments Commission;

• the Commonwealth Director of Public Prosecutions; and

• the Australian Government Solicitor.

The evening is aimed at enabling briefing solicitors from the litigation teams of these government entities to meet, in a relaxed atmosphere, barristers of 5-10 years of practice (i.e. commencement dates between 2014 and 2019) who have not yet been briefed by these agencies and also those who are looking to broaden the areas of work in which they are briefed by these agencies. Experience in working with these agencies is not necessary.

Date: 24 October 2024.

Time: 5pm-6.30pm for networking event, followed by drinks and light refreshments.
