Appointments to federal courts

Stephen Burley SC has been appointed as a judge of the Federal Court. He will fill the vacancy left by the retirement of the Hon Justice Annabelle Bennett AO. A ceremonial sitting of the Full Federal Court will be held on Monday, 23 May 2016 at 9.30am in Court 1, Level 21, Queens Square. Chrissa Loukas SC will speak on behalf of the New South Wales and Australian bar associations.

Ms Brana Obradovic has been appointed to the Federal Circuit Court, in the Parramatta Registry, effective 30 May 2016. Details of the swearing-in ceremony will be announced as soon as they are known.
