NSW Lawyers Orchestra Season 2

After a successful inaugural season, the NSW Lawyers Orchestra, in its second season, will perform some of the more popular movie scores by composer John Williams, among them Star Wars, Schindler's List, Raiders of the Lost Ark and Harry Potter. The concert will be held on Sunday, 27 November 2016 at 2:30pm at The Australian Hall, 150 Elizabeth Street Sydney (opposite the Downing Centre and John Maddison Tower).

The orchestra will also perform the "Ascent of the Rock" by Bruce Smeaton from the film Picnic at Hanging Rock; the "Love Theme" from The Godfather; "Gabriel’s Oboe" from The Mission and the Last of the Mohicans.

The orchestra is grateful to the home of the NSW Doctors Orchestra – Abbotsleigh – which has provided the orchestra with premises in which to rehearse at minimum cost. If you still wish to play in this season, it is not too late. Rehearsals begin on 15 October 2016. The orchestra is seeking more trombone, French horn, harp, oboe, bassoon and mandolin players.
