Apple users urged to apply updates

InBrief is advised by the Innovation and Technology Committee that members should install urgent updates on their Apple devices after spyware was identified on the phone of a Saudi human rights activist. The vulnerability affects iPhone, iPad, iWatch and MacOS operating systems and can be activated without any 'conscious' activity on the part of the user. You need only be sent a malformed file. Updates may be downloaded by following instructions on the following Apple sites:

Update iOS (iPhones, iPads)

Update iWatch

Update OSX (laptops, desktops)

Please note: these are large files. Updates will take up to 60 minutes.
