The Australian Academy of Law, will be holding a free event, online and in person (limited) as follows:

Fellows and members of the public will hear from the heads of Australia’s intermediate courts of appeal (civil jurisdiction), including appellate full courts, who will discuss with each other common issues arising from the operation of these courts. Examples of the issues to be discussed are: rights to appeal; the nature of an appeal; how the hearing of appeals is organised: when reasons are required; the advantages and disadvantages of a separate court of appeal; and the importance of civility.
