Briefing and working with new junior barristers: what solicitors look for
17/11/2021

Collegiality - Tonight Wednesday 17 November 2021
The New Barristers’ Committee is hosting a regular “Zoom Catch Up” series as a way for new barristers to connect with each other. The second in the series is a panel discussion with solicitors who will speak about what they look for when considering briefing a junior barrister for the first time and what they consider makes a good junior barrister. The panel will include Peter Yeldham, a partner at King & Wood Mallesons, Anna Williams, a director at YPOL Lawyers, and Kiri Mattes, a Principal Solicitor at the NSW Crown Solicitor’s Office.
Attendees are encouraged to email questions for the Panel to Megan Caristo at caristo@elevenwentworth.com.au by Monday, 15 November. There will also be an opportunity for attendees to ask questions at the conclusion of the panel.
This CPD event is open to NSW Bar Association members and will be hosted in a meeting format. Attendees will have the option to have their camera and audio on. The event will not be recorded and is run by registration only. To register please click here.
