Media Release - The Age of Criminal Responsibility should be raised to 14 Years

The New South Wales Bar Association has today issued a media release regarding the confirmation that State and Territory Attorneys-General have supported the development of a proposal to increase the minimum age of criminal responsibility to 12. The Association has called upon the NSW Government to take the proposed reforms further and increase the minimum age of criminal responsibility to 14.
