Call for Papers: 2022 Regional Conference Series

2022 Regional Confernece Series

The Bar Association's Professional Development Department invites members to submit suggestions for papers to be included in the Association's 2022 Regional CPD Conference series.

The conferences will be held on Saturdays in Ballina, Newcastle, Orange, and Sydney during February and March. The Newcastle, North Coast, and Orange conferences will be held in person only. The Sydney conference will host a limited number of in-person attendees while simultaneously being live-streamed to a virtual audience at home or in chambers.

The dates for 2022 Conferences are:

Saturday 26 February 2022 - North Coast, Ballina RSL Club

Saturday 5 March 2022 - Sydney, Hyatt Regency Sydney

Saturday 12 March 2022 - Newcastle, Novotel Newcastle Beach

Saturday 19 March 2022 - Orange, Greenhouse of Orange.

Interested barristers, solicitors, academics, legal and non-legal professionals are invited to submit suggestions for papers online. During the submission process, you will be asked to provide your contact details, conference preference, a working title and, where possible, a short description or abstract of your suggestion presentation. All submissions must come under at least one of the four categories of CPD: Ethics and Professional Responsibility; Practice Management and Business Skills; Substantive Law, Practice and Procedure, and Evidence; Barristers' Skills.
