Expressions of Interest are sought by the Financial Planning Association Limited (FPA), for a Chair of their Conduct Review Commission (CRC). The CRC oversees the enforcement of the FPA’s Code of Professional Conduct.

The responsibility of the Chair of the CRC is to ensure appropriate review of the issues and cases brought before it and to provide feedback and guidance to the FPA’s Professional Standards Team. Supported by deputies and a panel of Certified Financial Planners® and subject matter experts, the CRC Chair will:

  • Have appropriate legal qualifications and experience (15 years +) in the rules of procedural fairness and in adjudication
  • Have a thorough understanding of the laws and regulations relevant to the financial planning profession including the Code of Ethics, the operation of the single disciplinary body for the financial planning profession, and AFCA
  • Be able to lead and manage the review of disciplinary cases referred to the CRC including the delivery of outcomes in a timely manner
  • Make appropriate recommendations to the FPA Board on the FPA’s Code of Professional Practice. The role is expected to be 1 to 2 days per week. Remuneration is commensurate with the importance of the role.
