On Wednesday, 23 February 2022 join Robert Newlinds SC, Janet McDonald and Karen Petch for session 2 of the Practice Management – By Barristers for Barristers. The panel will discuss "Costs and Fees".

Topics for session 2 will include:

• An overview of the regulatory environment and the basics of complying with it as a barrister.
• Particular issues relating to direct access briefs, briefs on a speculative basis and fees in advance.
• Techniques and tips for estimating costs.
• Avoiding pitfalls which lead to costs disputes and non-payment.
• Ways to recover fees, including assessment and the Bar Association scheme.
