2021 Silk Donations

It is a long-standing tradition at the Bar for senior counsel appointees to donate to charities. The silks of 2021 have agreed to donate a total of $102,000, distributed between three charities.

• The Mum Shirl Fund: a Trust set up to support Indigenous lawyers seeking to come to the NSW Bar.
• Our Big Kitchen: a community kitchen that supports over thirty-three charities and prepares more than 250,000 meals to distribute to people in need across Sydney.
• John Mac Foundation: a scholarship fund set up to enable people from disadvantaged and refugee backgrounds to receive a higher education.

The Bar Association thanks the 2021 Silks for their generous donations to these good causes.
