Chief Justice Andrew Bell has written to President Michael McHugh SC warmly encouraging members of the Bar to attend the forthcoming swearing-in ceremonies of Justice Elisabeth Peden at 9.15am on Wednesday, 6 April 2022 and Justice Jeremy Kirk at 9.15am on Thursday, 21 April 2022, both to be held in the Banco Court.

These are occasions of great institutional significance and an opportunity for all who attend to participate in the corporate life of the Bench and Bar and to learn something of the career of the newly appointed judge. Junior members of the Bar who may not be familiar with such ceremonies are particularly encouraged to attend, whether they know the judge being sworn in or not. The ceremonies generally finish by 10.00am.
