ABA: Re-Emerge 2022

The Australian Bar Association is holding a national conference, Re-Emerge 2022 at the State Library of Victoria from 28 to 30 April 2022.
The conference program will feature more than 14 hours of immersive content, with speakers including:
- Professor Richard Susskind OBE
- the Commonwealth Attorney-General and Shadow Attorney-General, and Attorneys- General from a number of States
- four sitting and two retired members of the High Court of Australia
- the Chief Justices of Victoria, New South Wales, the Federal Court and the Family and Federal Circuit Court
- many prominent judges and members of the Australian Bar
- other speakers drawn from the apex of national life, including politicians, journalists, epidemiologists, psychologists and business leaders

The social calendar for the conference includes Welcome Drinks at the Old Melbourne Gaol; sectional dinners organised by the Victorian Bar, Bar Associations and Committees; and a gala dinner at the W Hotel.
Perhaps most importantly of all, Re-Emerge 2022 will be the first national gathering of our profession since before the pandemic, and an opportunity for barristers from around Australia to reconnect with colleagues and engage on the big questions facing our profession and the administration of justice as we re-emerge from two difficult years.
