The NSW Bar Association’s mooting subcommittee seeks to facilitate the involvement of the NSW Bar in university mooting competitions, for the mutual benefit of law students and barristers. Time spent on moot judging counts towards CPD requirements.

The subcommittee is looking to expand the pool of barrister moot judges on the Bar Association’s email circulation list. Putting your hand up to be on the list doesn’t involve any commitment, but means you will receive email correspondence about competitions that need judges from time to time, so that you can volunteer if available. Barristers who are interested in putting their name forward for such notifications (whether or not already involved in moot judging) should email mooting@nswbar.asn.au with your name, floor and email address.
