Bar FC Report

On a brilliantly sunny winter’s afternoon today saw Bar FC take on Pendle FC.

The game was largely played out in the mid-field, with strong performances from our two debut players in that area – Ryan and the aptly named Pace, strongly supported by the very persistent Hallahan. Tsang was fearless in attack and put Pendle FC on the backfoot on many occasions. It was nil all at half time.

In the second half the claret flowed following a head clash, and after a quick bandaging around the head, Bolger showed his determination by returning straight away to the field for Bar FC.

Philips saved a strong goal attempt by Pendle FC mid-way through the second half. Despite the best efforts of Morrison and Di Michiel, Bar FC were unable to caress the nets with a goal. Our defence was sorely tried in the second half, but Anais, McCarthy and Bolger skilfully thwarted Pendle FC’s persistent attacks, with the final score being nil all.

Next week’s game is against Greenbridge FC at 1.15 pm on Thursday, 16 June 2022 in the Domain. All visitors are welcome.
