Forbes Society June 2022 Update and Membership Renewal

The next Forbes Society legal history tutorial is tomorrow Wednesday, 15 June 2022 - Antipodean Property Law by Dr Nicole Graham, Associate Professor (University of Sydney Law School) in Court 13A. The Society is grateful to Chief Justice Bell for use of Supreme Court facilities. No registration is necessary for in person attendance but the Court’s Covid regulations must be observed (mask wearing still required). The Forbes Society invites members to renew their membership for the 2022/2023 financial year. The Society is dedicated to studying and documenting the history of Australian law. Its membership includes legal practitioners, academics, journalists and students. Benefits of membership include timely notification of legal history events via updates emailed to members from time to time and opportunities to obtain discounts on publications from time to time published or arranged by the Society. Memberships are renewed annually and will run to 30 June 2023. New member applications are welcomed. A renewal/application form is available here. The renewal/application should be completed and returned to the address on the form or by email to membership@forbessociety.org.au.
The Society encourages and promotes research into Australian legal history via the Francis Forbes Fund. There is provision for a donation on the membership renewal form, or a separate form for donations is available here Francis Forbes Society 2022 Donation form and on the web site forbessociety.org.au.
