Tonight: Q&A sessions with Magistrates: Local Court Civil Jurisdiction

The New Barristers Committee will host a series of Zoom Q&A sessions with Magistrates. The Q&A sessions are designed to allow junior barristers (particularly those under seven years) to pose questions to the Magistrates with a view to assisting new barristers in their court craft, advocacy and practice in the Local Court.
The first session tonight Thursday, 23 June 2022 at 5.15 pm, will discuss the Local Court Civil Jurisdiction. Deputy Chief Magistrate Theo Tsavdaridis, Magistrate Scott Nash and Magistrate Rebecca Hosking will join moderator Ryan Coffey to exchange observations, advice and guidance on appearing in the Civil Jurisdictions Small Claims and General Division.
Barristers over seven years are most welcome to attend.
Participants are encouraged to submit questions in advance. Questions can be submitted at the time of registration or via email to cpd@nswbar.asn.au.
