Bar FC loses 2 to nil

On a crisp sunny winter’s afternoon today saw Bar FC take on Schroders FC. Both teams were equal on the table prior to the match.

Bar FC came out playing strongly for the first 15 minutes and had several shots at goal, with Morrison narrowly missing from a kick from a corner taken by Coutinho. Hartford Davis just missed from a great kick at the goals which only just went over the top bar. di Michiel also had a few shots at goals which narrowly missed. The mid-field was working overtime with the likes of Lang SC, Pace, Olson, Coutinho, Hartford Davis and Liu. Philips did a number of great saves until our capable backline of Munce, Larish and Griscti was finally breached at the 15 minute mark of the first half, with the first goal by Schroders FC, making the half time score 1 to nil against Bar FC.

The second half saw Bar FC start mainly on the defensive and we held Schroders FC out until ten minutes into the second half when they scored their second and final goal. Our forwards Morrison and di Michiel supported by Coutinho staged a late Bar FC comeback, but to no avail, with the final score being 2 to nil against Bar FC.
