Tomorrow: Parental Alienation

01/08/2022

Webinar - 2 August 2022

The Family Law Committee presents family law specialist, Neil Jackson to speak about parental alienation tomorrow Tuesday, 2 August 2022 at 5.15pm.

The concept of parental alienation is widely used in disputes in the Family Law Jurisdiction. It is also used by psychologist as representing a process through which a child becomes estranged from one parent as the result of the psychological manipulation of another parent. If it exists in whatever form, the question this paper asks is: does the present family Law jurisdiction serve the best interest of a child when a child is not having an ongoing relationship with one parent. Reference is made to the recent authorities and well-known research.
