Tonight: Best Practice Guidelines

The recently Updated Best Practice Guidelines (BPGs) aim to assist Chambers to eliminate and prevent all forms of harassment, discrimination, vilification, victimisation and bullying.
This is the first CPD open to all members on the Updated BPGs, to be held online tonight Tuesday, 23 August 2022 at 5.15pm and presented by Sera Mirzabegian SC and Melanie Cairns (Co-Chairs of the Association’s Diversity and Equality Committee) and Winnie Liu (also a member of that Committee), who will explain:
- the content of the Updated BPGs;
- why Chambers should adopt them; and
- how to implement the BPGs including setting up a grievance handling process for when a complaint of harassment, discrimination, etc. is made.
One CPD point will be awarded towards Ethics and Professional Responsibility or Practice Management.
Attendees are encouraged to submit questions in advance. Questions can be submitted at the time of registration or via email to cpd@nswbar.asn.au.
