David Patten, former District Court judge, passed away yesterday.

Among his many accomplishments, David Patten served as a District Court judge (acting 1990-92, permanent from 1992) as an acting judge of the Supreme Court of NSW, and as deputy president of the ADT. In addition, he conducted the inquiry into the conviction of Phuong Ngo and led the Special Commission of Inquiry into the NSW Crime Commission. Members will be advised of funeral arrangements as soon as they are known.
