Open Day for Female Law Students
19/08/2022
The Bar Association is looking for volunteer barristers to participate in an online event for this year’s NSW Bar Association’s Female Law Students Open Day between 2pm – 3pm next Wednesday, 24 August 2022.
One to three volunteers will “meet” with a small group of female law students in a Zoom ‘break out’ room to have an informal chat with female law students about life at the Bar and to answer any queries they may have in that regard.
Your participation does not require in person attendance or physical presence in chambers as you would be logging in remotely.
The Open Day is aimed at encouraging female law students to consider a career as a barrister.
Prior to these ‘break out’ sessions, the students will listen to a panel discussion from 1pm to 2pm with the Honourable Justice Mitchelmore of the New South Wales Court of Appeal, the Honourable Judge Obradovic of the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia, and Tiffany Wong SC of Banco Chambers, which you are of course most welcome to attend although it is not required before participating in the ‘break out’ sessions.
If you are available to please volunteer your time for an hour, please register here.
If you no longer wish to receive In Brief, please notify the Bar Association's
