Legal Aid now available for “vulnerable third parties” under the Mandatory Disease Testing Act 2021 (NSW)

Legal Aid NSW has approved a new policy for granting aid to applicants who are “vulnerable third parties” (as defined in the Mandatory Disease Testing Act 2021 (NSW)).

The grant of aid allows for a summary hearing lump sum grant to respond to applications made against vulnerable third parties in the Local and Children’s Court of NSW.

The new policy commences 5 September 2022.
