FCFCOA: Change to the Courts’ complaints policy and procedure in relation to the delay in delivery of reserved judgments

The Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia has updated its Complaints Policy and Judicial Complaints Procedure to clarify the time period after which a complaint about delay in the delivery of reserved judgments may be made.
While the benchmark for handing down of reserved judgments remains three months, a complaint may now only be referred to the Courts by the President of the Bar Association after a period of six months from the date of the hearing or receipt of written submissions has elapsed.
