Bisexual Awareness Week
16/09/2022

Bisexual Awareness Week or #BiWeek commences on 16 September and culminates in Celebrate Bisexuality Day, on 23 September. Celebrate Bisexuality Day is an annual event to recognise and celebrate bisexual people, the bisexual community, and the history of bisexuality. Bisexual refers to an individual who is sexually and/or romantically attracted to people of the same gender and people of another gender (Flanders, C. E., LeBreton, M. E., Robinson, M., Bian, J., & Caravaca-Morera, J. A. (2017). Defining bisexuality: Young bisexual and pansexual people’s voices. The Bar Association is committed to supporting a Bar that reflects and is inclusive of the diverse composition of Australia’s society, which includes people from the bisexual community. The Association’s LGBTQI Principles on Inclusiveness have been developed for the benefit of members and their Chambers/Floors.
