National Carers Week – 16 – 22 October 2022

Sunday 16 October 2022 marks the beginning of National Carers Week, being a time to recognise and celebrate the 2.65 million Australians who provide unpaid care and support to a family member or friend with a disability, mental health condition, chronic condition, terminal illness, drug and alcohol dependencies, or who are frail or elderly.

Each one of us is likely to care for a friend or family member at some point in our lives. Many don’t identify as carers and are unaware of the services and supports available to assist them.
