Tomorrow: Sybil Morrison Lecture – 9 November 2022

The Diversity and Equality Committee is pleased to host the fourth annual Sybil Morrison Lecture tomorrow Wednesday, 9 November 2022 at 4.45pm. The annual lecture is a celebration of the life of Sybil Morrison, the first woman to practise at the New South Wales Bar.

The Lecture will be held in the Bar Association’s Common Room and commence at 4.45pm, with arrivals from 4.30pm. Numbers are strictly limited and online registration is essential.

The 2022 Lecture will honour the Honourable Elizabeth A Evatt AC’s achievements and contributions to the development of the law and the legal profession. The event will be chaired by the Governor of NSW, Her Excellency the Honourable Margaret Beazley AC KC. The 2020 Katrina Dawson Award recipient, Kathleen Heath, and Nicola Gollan, a 2021 Katrina Dawson Award recipient, will present a paper on the Honourable Elizabeth A Evatt AC.

Light refreshments will be provided after the Lecture.

One CPD point will be awarded towards the Substantive Law strand.
