Transgender Awareness Week

10/11/2022

Next week is Transgender Awareness Week, a time when transgender people and their allies take action to bring attention and awareness to the community by educating the public about sharing stories and advancing advocacy around the issues of discrimination and violence that affect the transgender community. The week concludes on 20 November with Transgender Day of Remembrance, where we remember those who have lost their lives to transphobia and violence. It is also a day to celebrate resilience in the face of adversity and pledge to fight transphobia to create an inclusive place for all persons.
