White Ribbon Day – 18 November 2022

This White Ribbon Day, we are urged to “Be the Change” and contribute to a nation free from gendered violence.

Family, domestic and sexual violence remains a significant issue in Australia:

intimate partner violence causes more illness, disability and deaths than any other risk factor for women aged 25–44;
around 1 in 6 Australian women have been subjected, since the age of 15, to physical and/or sexual violence by a current or previous cohabiting partner; and
1 woman is killed almost every week by a current or former partner.
