Devil’s Hole Walk Postponed to Sunday, 27 October 2024

Unfortunately, National Parks have temporarily closed the Devil’s Hole Track, which we were intending to walk this Sunday, 22 September 2024. So, we have decided to postpone that walk until Sunday, 27 October 2024. All details otherwise remain the same, but will be confirmed again closer to the event.

Gooches Crater Loop now for this Sunday, 22 September 2024

On this Sunday 22 September 2024, we shall now walk the Gooch’s Crater Loop Trail, also in the Upper Blue Mountains, discovering pagoda country, creek crossings and a natural amphitheatre. The waratahs will be in bud. It is a very hard 18km walk, taking about 7 hours. It is suitable only for fit and experienced bushwalkers. There are 2 creek crossings to wade through. About a third of the walk is off track and some scrambling is involved. It is the most challenging walk done by the Bar Bushwalkers to date.

Please meet at 8.30am at the entrance to the private property at 32 Sandham Road, Bell. As always, please have 2 litres of water, lunch, wet weather gear (if there is a prospect of rain), a hat and good walking shoes. Please bring gaiters, if you wish for the off track part.

If you would like to come on the walk please register by sending an email to Robert White at rwhite@12thfloor.com.au by no later than Wednesday 18 September 2024. Any queries, please feel free to call Robert White on 8029 6342, Leah Reid on 9151 2946 or David Pritchard on 9221 3848.
