Working with Technology in Hearings

The NSW Bar Association's Media and Information Law and Technology (MILT) Committee is pleased to invite you to attend a panel discussion on this important topic with Judge Gregory Shoebridge of the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia and MILT Committee members Roger Harper and Lee-May Saw. The CPD will be held at 5:00 pm on Thursday, 3 July 2025 in person at the NSWBA Common Room.

The panel will:

(a) Discuss issues related to running a hearing that involves evidence from communication apps and social media platforms, and how to manage PDFs, document bundles, and LiquidText;

(b) Provide a demonstration on how to work with communication apps and/or social media platforms; and

(c) Discuss objections that might be taken to evidence, including those based on relevant provisions of the Evidence Act 1995 (NSW).

Ben Kremer SC, Co-Chair of the MILT Committee, will moderate this panel discussion.
